We run a small text-message program for the people we already work with — our team members, clients, and contractors. This page explains exactly what it is, how to join, and how to leave.

Joining is optional. You do not have to agree to receive text messages in order to buy anything from us, to hire us, to create an account, to get a quote, or to receive any service we provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving any service from us.

The opt-in box on our contact form is unchecked by default and you can send that form without ever touching it. If you leave it unchecked, we simply will not text you, and nothing changes about the work we do for you.

How to opt in

On our contact form. Fill out the form at ironandoakindustries.com, enter the mobile number you want us to use, and tick the box labelled “Text me updates about my project.”

That box is separate from everything else on the form. It is never pre-ticked, it is never required, and there is no other agreement bundled into it.

Or text us first. Text the word START to (585) 636-3265 from the mobile phone you want us to message.

Those are the only two ways to join, and we keep a dated record of each one. We do not buy, rent, or collect phone numbers from other sources, and we never add a number to this program unless the person it belongs to asked us to.

What we send

Operational alerts about work in progress
Approval requests, where you can reply to approve or hold something
Call-back notices when we phoned you and did not reach you
Delivery of work files and design proofs for your review
Replies to questions you text us

This is an operational program, not a marketing list. We do not send promotional or advertising texts through it.

Program details

Message frequency: Varies. Typically only a few messages per day at most, and often none.
Cost: We do not charge for this. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message, at any time, and you will not receive another one. You can also text STOP to (585) 636-3265. No explanation is needed and it does not affect any work we are doing for you. If you later change your mind, text START again.
